SECURITY FOR CYBERBRANCH
In an effort to protect our members from phishing attacks - fraudulent emails
that trick members into disclosing their account numbers and passwords to a third party - the credit union has implemented a second security question for our members to set for their account.
The next time you log into CyberBranch, the system will prompt you to enter a security question and answer. It is very important that when you enter your question or answer to not use any symbols (and that includes question marks!).
After you establish your question, you will be asked it every time you log on. If CyberBranch does not prompt you with your question, you may have been compromised. Contact the credit union immediately. If we are not open, close your browser and then re-open it. Type in our web address in your address bar and try logging in again. If you then get the security question, answer it and reset your password immediately.
Remember, the credit union will never send you an email requiring you to reset your password or verify information on your account - including your social security number.

Build a Ladder to Financial Security
One of the best features we offer to our members is our Certificate of Deposit program.
Whereas many banks want CD's with large balances and even longer terms, Financial Benefits Credit Union offers CD's with starting balances as low as $500.00 and terms as short as three months. We match these features with very competitive rates!
We would like to see members who use this benefits to have a CD mature each month - creating a "CD ladder" that can be drawn upon in the event of a financial emergency.
Call us if you have any questions or if you want to start your ladder today!

In The Event of a Disaster
All of us who live and work in the Bay Area consider ourselves lucky. However, it does come with the risk of being in earthquake country.
The staff of Financial Benefits Credit Union has policies and procedures in place in the event that a major earthquake, or other disaster, strikes the Bay Area.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind our members that the credit union has both our automated Call24, our 24/7 phone service, and CyberBranch, our online banking service, available in the event of an emergency. For those members who are able to access CyberBranch, you can use the E-Message feature to contact the credit union directly, otherwise, send emails to fbcudirect@aol.com.
Furthermore, if a major disaster occurs, the credit union will provide regular updates on this webpage.
